Productivity means that you are not wasting your time and actually doing something useful at the moment or just in general. It specifies how much work you have completed throughout the day and justifies that you had been productive. Over course of time, we learn about how our time in a day is very important and how we prioritize things.

So these are some productivity hacks that will help you be more productive and active:


1. Keep a proper to-do list:



What this does is, it will help you as a reminder and let you evaluate the things that you want to do on daily basis. It is necessary to keep a schedule because there always will be a reason that you might forget. Having a proper time schedule also helps you and makes you feel the satisfaction of completing all the tasks at the end of the day.


2. Alarm reminders:


This is one of the most effective ones so far. Keeping an alarm set up for every task you have to do for the day is honestly so useful. For example, if you plan on getting groceries for the day, you can set a reminder and get it done for the day rather than procrastinate for days.


3. Meditate:


Always set time aside for meditating, I know it is hard to do when you have a lot of things to do. But it will help you when you take a few minutes of your day to relax and collect your thoughts. It will help you focus better and just overall have a good day. It is also very important for your mental health and to keep you at peace.


4. Try to sketch out your meal plans:



This is probably the most productive thing that you can do to keep yourself healthy and also satisfied with your meal intake. As I have experienced when you plan out your meals and actually try to stay as healthy as possible it will make your mindset better and also be active, rather than days when you eat out or eat unhealthily.


5. Try to be humble and kind:


You might think, what does this has to do with productivity? Well, this helps you to think better rather than thinking about the conflicts you have with people and honestly helps you to come out of the irritable state that you might be in. People usually say the most obnoxious things when you are angry and upset or even just when you are annoyed in general, what this will do is, it will totally change up your thinking process and also take up your day thinking about something you regret or just something that angers you. Learn to let go, because at the end of the day you want to focus on yourself. You want to keep your thoughts relaxed and calm, to achieve that you have to stay humble and kind. If you find it hard to be nice, try to be funny. Sounds weird, I know, but it almost works all the time. Reminds YOU that things aren’t that serious and it can be taken lightly.


6. Try to read books, articles, or ted talks:



You see, when you listen to or read books, it will help you increase your knowledge and stay productive. Things that you want to do and things you plan on doing as your passion can be hard when it comes to taking initiative. So listen to podcasts or see ted talks and read books that will help you gain knowledge and go ahead with enough motivation to do what you love.


7. Exercise:


Exercising is one of the favorite parts of my day. Even though it drains you, it gives you the best satisfaction of feeling productive and being proud of yourself at the end of the day. Yes, I understand most people don’t like to exercise but, it does not always have to be with weights and machines. It can be easy as playing badminton, tennis, going for a peaceful walk with some music on, I mean who doesn’t like music. It gets you moving. Doing chores in the house with your music on, or just moving your body around for at least an hour a day. You can time it however you want, morning, evening, or night whatever works best for you.


8. Read grateful quotes:


I used to think reading quotes were honestly very cringey, like dramatic ones that looked so funny to me. But recently, the rights ones always hit the spot. Like when you feel down or need motivation for the day, reading quotes will boost your mindset. More than physical, having good mental health is way more important. So, good quotes always help you and make you feel like you have things to achieve, and you better work for it.


9. Helping out people:

I don’t know about you, but helping out people makes me feel good and sometimes makes you feel productive too. Like today I helped my friend out with her essay and she was so grateful and made me think it was worth the hassle. Because guys, this usually shapes your identity as well, if people ask you for help if you always decline and seem rude, you may not look approachable. I mean it totally depends upon how you want to show your personality and even want to seem to people, But the more kind and generous you are with people, you will feel good about yourself and genuinely be satisfied with your day.


10. Always try to take up a new hobby:

Taking up a new hobby does not always have to be hard. You can always start small, like for example if you want to start painting, try to make time for it and just paint one thing at a time and love the process of it. Always start easy, so that when you make a progress you feel content and actually grow your skills.
